Millions see in new year with firework extravaganza



MILLIONS of people around the world celebrated a new year last night as the skies over Britain’s towns and cities were lit up by dazzling firework displays. More than 12,000 fireworks burst over London as rockets were launched from the London Eye and barges dotted along the River Thames.
